LISTEN to the BDSN NEWSLETTER PODCAST

SPECIAL NOTE: I am at Amazon Accelerate in Seattle this week with 4,000+ other Amazon sellers, service provider and employees.

I personally write every issue of the newsletter, not an assistant or AI. So with the exception of the first section below, I have included some favorites form past issues most of you have never seen. The networking, parties and dinners are taking all my time this week.

I will be back Monday with tons of tactics, news and summaries of what went down at the BDSS Market Masters Think Tank and Amazon Accelerate.

I have given the presentation above 3 times this week: once at the Helium 10 Elite Workshop and an abbreviated version at the 7-Figure Sellers VIP Dinner I co-hosted with Titan Network Tuesday night.

Sellers really loved it. I will next be presenting an updated version at the Southern Seller Fest. Hopefully I will see you there.

🥷 NINJA WAY to CAPTURE your TARGET CUSTOMER

This week 4,000+ Amazon folks are congregated in one place in Seattle, WA: the Seattle Summit Convention center. Many of these people have never heard of this BDSN newsletter or the off-the-chains Halloween party I am co-hosting during Amazon Unboxed next month in Austin.

Thousands of my ideal avatar are all in one place right now! How can I capture a lot of them without buying a $50,000 booth sponsorship or hosting an expensive party (The Sellers Circus party last night cost about $85K)?

Right this very second I am using an inexpensive new self-serve tool called Qujam (works in USA and Canada only) to anonymously capture almost every person attending Accelerate.

To do this I created a virtual fence around the Seattle convention center. When someone walks into my virtual fence with their mobile device, they become part of my audience and I can start serving ads to them.

Geofence advertising uses GPS technology to allow marketers to deliver targeted ads to potential customers who have been physically present at a selected location. It works by setting up a virtual “fence” around a specific geographic area.

In America, 90% of phones have GPS enabled in the background. This is what allows users to track their location and use maps. When a GPS-enabled device enters the location, its device ID is collected and added to a list of potential targets for advertising campaigns.

Qujam’s platform offers three forms of advertising: banner ads that can show up on mobile apps and websites, OTT CTV (over the top and connected TV), which includes streaming apps, and video pre-rolls.

Examples of these include ads that run before news clips or videos on blogs. Currently, Qujam can run ads through hundreds of thousands of publishers across over 50 exchanges.

As an Amazon seller, here’s an example of how you can test this for a few hundred bucks for your product:

Let’s say you sell hidden flasks so you can sneak alcohol into events. The product picture below are flasks disguised as tampons. You could geofence a college or NFL football stadium with 70,000-100,000 fans, many who are underage college students trying to sneak alcohol into the stands - the perfect customer for your product.

Target your audience at a football game with your product

The possibilities are endless. Dunkin’ Donuts does it to target Starbucks customers for example. It’s more common than you think - you just did not know how to do it. Now you do.

Send products to Micro-Influencers using the platform Stack Influence which automates influencer collaborations at scale (get thousands of collabs per month).

Brands like Magic Spoon, Unilever, and Farmacy have been able to get to #1 page positioning on Amazon and increase their monthly revenue as high as 13X in as little as 2 months.

💭 BOOST YOUR SALES USING WISHLISTS

Gorilla ROI published a blog post breaking down Amazon wishlists and how to use them as Seller to boost sales.

Often overlooked, wishlists can be a powerful tool for sellers to enhance their visibility, engage with potential customers, and drive conversions.

Crush it by analyzing your wishlists this Q4

As an Amazon seller, you can check the wishlists related to your products by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account: Go to Amazon Seller Central (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/) and log in with your seller credentials.

  2. Access the "Inventory" Tab: Once you're logged in, navigate to the "Inventory" tab in Seller Central. This tab
allows you to manage your product listings.

  3. Select "Manage Inventory": Under the "Inventory" tab, click on "Manage Inventory." This will take you to a list of your product listings.

  4. View the "Wish List" Column: In the "Manage Inventory" page, look for the "Wish List" column. This column provides information about how many customers have added your products to their wishlists.

  5. If you don't see the "Wish List" column, you can customize the columns displayed by clicking the "Preferences" button at the top of the page and selecting "Wish List" as one of the columns to be displayed.

  6. Analyze the Data: In the "Wish List" column, you can see the number of customers who have added your products to their wishlists. You can click on the numbers to view more details and see the customers
(if they have made this information public).

Please note that you won't have access to the entire wishlist of customers.

🎬 GET MORE CLICKS on YOUR VIDEOS

Tools like PickFu are great, but the problem is people sometimes say they prefer something different than what they actually do in real life.

Now you can test different video thumbnails and titles live on YouTube so you can maximize your clicks. Then use those thumbnails across multiple social platforms.

Using a Chrome extension and YouTube Studio, ThumbnailTest.com lets you do A/B/C/D/E tests using real time analytics to find the golden winners based on real actions rather than opinions.

🛠️ FEATURED TOOL: Search Term Insight Navigator

Amazon advertisers know the Search Terms Impression Share Report is a vital tool to understand how shoppers interact with your products.

But it can be complex and time-consuming to analyze.

Dream 100 member and BDSS XI Iceland Speaker Mansour Norouzi is your knight in shining armor.

He created a Google Sheets template he calls the STIN (Search Term Insight Navigator).

The STIN gives you …

  • Visibility: It reveals the search terms shoppers use on Amazon and your impression share rank compared to others.

  • Precise Percentages: Displays your impression share for each search term.

  • Opportunities: Spot top-performing search terms, find competitor products, uncover new customer trends, and brainstorm bundles.

  • Refined Insight: Designate negative keywords for low-performing terms and pinpoint chances to boost market share.

Watch the explanation video and download the template.

📐 LIFE ISN’T PERFECT - BUT RENDERS ARE

Ever wonder why product imagery from certain brands always look amazing on Amazon? It’s very simple; their imagery isn't photography, it's 3D rendering.

Product 3D renders are computer generated images that look like real-life objects. Using exact dimensions, a model is created onto which life-like textures and lighting is added. The result: your product looks better than it’s ever looked before.

All you need are images of your product. These can be simple smartphone images of each side of your product (pretend the product is a dice - you need an image of each number).
